Editorial policy
Sources
Facts about exams, prices, renewal and what is included come from the issuing organisation's own pages. We do not use reseller prices, forum posts or AI-generated summaries as evidence for a fact. Community discussion may inform which questions we cover, never the answers.
Verification and labels
- Checked date: every certification record, platform entry and guide shows when its facts were last checked against the source.
- Price status: verified (captured from the official page), conflicting (the official page showed more than one value), not verified (we could not capture an official figure), or not published (the provider does not publish one).
- Capture method: each source notes whether it was read by a direct page fetch or rendered in a headless browser, because some prices only appear after a page's scripts run.
- Editorial judgment — such as "who it suits" — is labelled as such and kept separate from sourced facts. Inferences are marked as inferences.
- Figures stated by a provider about itself, such as pass rates, are attributed to that provider and not presented as independent findings.
What we do not do
- We have not taken the courses or exams and do not claim hands-on testing.
- Content is not reviewed by a certified security professional. It is written to help you compare published facts, not as career, legal or financial advice.
- We do not accept payment for inclusion, ranking or wording.
Updates
We re-check sources at least quarterly and whenever a provider announces an exam version change, a price change or an ownership change. A guide's "updated" date and update history change only for substantive edits, not for typo fixes.
Corrections
If something is wrong or out of date, email contact@securityanalysttraining.com with the page and, ideally, the official source. Confirmed corrections are made promptly and noted in the page's update history.
